Your ceremony and what happens right after
Our All-Seasons Pavilion opens up to a patio overlooking the ponds, and that pairing gives you real options. The pavilion has retractable glass doors, heat, and ceiling fans, which give couples more comfort and flexibility during Ohio weather changes. We provide white ceremony chairs as part of your booking, along with our house arch if you want to use it.
Right after you exchange vows, the cocktail hour can move naturally to the patio or pavilion area. Couples often add the putting course as a cocktail hour option. It gives guests something fun to enjoy while the wedding party finishes portraits.
Using both spaces well
The Wenbeck has two distinct event spaces, the ballroom and the All-Seasons Pavilion, and knowing how they each work saves you from over-planning one and under-planning the other.
The ballroom accommodates up to 230 guests for your reception, with a large dance floor and a floor-to-ceiling projection screen that works well for slideshows or video. Upper balcony access also gives your event layout another visual layer for photos and guest movement. The pavilion and ballroom can also be used together, giving your event more flexibility for the ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, or dancing. Your venue manager will help you sketch the layout at your pre-event walkthrough, which happens about a month before your wedding.

Your manager runs your 60-minute rehearsal, meets with you and your coordinator the month before your wedding, greets and directs your vendors on event day, designs your room layout, and stays present through your reception. They are your main contact for venue-related details, room layout, rehearsal, vendor direction, and final venue needs.
If you want an additional layer of coordination, our Day-of Coordination add-on includes unlimited planning calls starting 12 months out, monthly check-ins, full vendor communication handoff one month prior, and decor pack-down at the end of the night. It's worth understanding the distinction before you decide, because some couples come in thinking their outside coordinator and our venue manager overlap more than they do.
How the catering and bar actually work
We don't handle catering ourselves. Instead, we work with a preferred list of caterers, which is especially useful for couples planning a multi-cultural menu. You can also bring a caterer not on our preferred list. In that case, we partner with Top Shelf Events to provide service staff, so the day-of execution stays consistent.
For bar service, we hold a State of Ohio Liquor License and offer a few different structures. Our BYOB+ option means we provide the alcohol, mixers, beverages without alcohol, and bartenders, and unopened beer, wine, seltzers, and champagne can leave with you at the end of the night. Drink packages are available as well, covering unlimited drinks and including the first two bartenders. A cash bar option is available for Friday and Sunday weddings.
